Description of the event:
Rostov FLEX alumni volunteered for the Operation Smile medical mission in Taganrog (20-24 Apr, 2009). Operation Smile provides safe, effective and free cleft lip and cleft palate repair surgery for children. It is an international medical humanitarian organization dedicated to raising awareness of this life-threatening issue and providing lasting solutions that will allow children to be healed, regardless of financial standing, well into the future. Our role as volunteers was to help with registration, translating and just to play with the kids. We are glad we could help!
